Three great weekend reads

Three great action novels.

(Plus… one of my own)    NOTE: CLICK ON ANY COVER TO READ THE FIRST CHAPTERS

The Apocalypse Watch, Robert Ludlum

In this novel, American agent Harry Latham penetrates an organization called Brotherhood of The Watch. Like most Ludlum novels, this one flies by. No spoilers… must read…

The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo, Stieg Larsson

If you’ve seen the movie, the book is even weirder. In fact, if you’ve seen the movie, you’ll also love the Swedish version dubbed in English. But there is a level of the occult you can’t get in a movie. It’s one that an author creates in your head. Awesome book.

Lord Foul’s Bane (The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, The Unbeliever)

By Stephan Donaldson

Lowest ranked on my list by critics, I loved this book. Thomas is called the unbeliever because he wakes up in a world he doesn’t believe exists. Written by a guy who was raised in a leprosy camp, Donaldson is a genius at getting into the mind of his character.

39 Down,Joseph Schneider, Traitor-Patriot, Book #1

Another action book along these lines is 39 Down, the first novel in my Joseph Schneider, Traitor-Patriot series. Trifthauser, like Thomas Covenant, wakes up in a world he doesn’t believe.
